Cache Valley Cup Tournament

So as crazy as our lives our I'm the coach of two not one, but two comp soccer teams. Go figure. Anyways we had a tournament this last weekend up in Cache Valley. It was a little hectic but we mad it through 4 games the first day with a tie, two wins and a loss, and 2 injuries leaving one team with only one sub. The second day we had only 2 games which they won. So that left us with two Championship games the next day at the same time. So I'm grateful to my friends and assistant coaches Steph and Melanie who took over on the older team. The Final outcome was the older girls took 2nd and the younger team took 1st. So it was a great tournament for us. We were so tired it took us all Sunday and Monday to get the sleep we needed to recover. Thanks to all the girls on the Warriors U13 and Warriors U11 teams you guys have a lot of heart.

Swimming Lesson

So after last years try at swimming lessons I was very hesitant this year. Well we made it ! Trey hates water in his eyes, ears, and mouth and I mean hates it. So for him to go to swim lessons after the first day excited I was excited myself. He isn't the greatest at getting his hair wet, but he can float and do bubbles well. He had a lot of fun and I'm extremely proud he did as much as he was able to do. It is scary for him and he still did it. Way to go. Also with all the sun and trips his hair has bleached out and is long. At church all Jess's friend thought he looked like a little surfer bum. I'll take it he sure is a cutie.

Bloomington and Bear Lake Fam Vacation

Every year we go on a vacation with our family and invite friends to go. Our friends had only been to Bear Lake once and that was last year. They wanted to go again. We went with our friends The Pittmans. We also took along some of our other friends two girls that our all friends with the girls. We started out the first day at the beach. Some how every time we take our boat to Bear Lake something goes wrong. So I didn't post that picture of Preston cursing and yelling at the boat for 4 hours and getting a nice sunburn in a discreet place we will not talk about. Even with 50 spf on all of us we did get the Bear Lake Curse we got FRIED!!

Our next day from being sunburned we chose to go over to Bloomington Lake just a canyon over from where we were staying. It's a nice little drive on dirt road but its worth it. There is a rope swing at the lake. Now this is a glacier fed lake. So when I say it's cold it's really COLD. We hiked in, who I'm grateful for our friend The Pittmans (Steph, Steve, Josh, and Nikki and adopted son for the trip Randy) carried in a cooler and food for a fun little picnic. Which me and Preston both forgot its about a 1-2 mile hike. OOPs sorry Steve and Steph. Anyways all the little girls Jessica and Regan not so little anymore were one of the first to do the rope swing. They commented that it was cold but felt awesome on their sunburns. Then came the real little girls Elle and Maya who were cheered on by the boys, girls and Nikki (who couldn't do it due to the fact she had knee surgery 2 weeks before who did hike most of the way on crutches). Preston was a wuss we said, because he had the only wet suit on out of all of them. Also a little later we got Josh, Randy, Steph and Steve to also jump in. It was a blast.

Fourth of July Weekend

So we as a family are so inventive, when it comes to going anywhere big for the fourth. Practically our back yard. We went up South Fork Canyon to Perception Park. They whole pack eventually all made surprise visits if they didn't stay the night. The CHICKENS! We had lots of fun. I mean we couldn't keep the kids out of the water. All the cousins ended up going on tubes or having water fights with Kody, Trey, Skylar, Teagen, and Kelty. All the papa's taking the kids down the river. Also the few that didn't enjoyed the shade with the reclining chairs.

Jess, Courtney and Elle had a fun time non stop going even when the sun had already gone over the hill. The water was FREZZING. Those youngn's don't feel it I guess.

Summer Fun

So to really start out the first part of July, Elle with her Activity Days girls went to their first year of Day Camp. They went to Camp Kiesel. They played fun new games, got do an obstacle course, archery, shoot bb guns, make a craft and last but not least have a nice water fight on the river with the boys. It was a fun and long hot day but they enjoyed it.
